Frequently Asked Questions

Can quiches be made gluten-free?

Yes. Use gluten-free flours (almond, rice) for the crust, or bake a crustless quiche in a greased dish. De Ma Vie offers gluten-free options to accommodate dietary restrictions.

What are some popular fillings for quiches besides the classic options?

Popular fillings include smoked salmon, goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus, zucchini, and seasonal vegetables. Vegetarian and some vegan versions are possible with suitable ingredients.

How can I reheat leftover quiche without losing its texture?

To reheat, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place quiche on a baking sheet, loosely cover with foil, and heat 15–20 minutes until warmed through to preserve crust and filling.

Such a delicious experience at De Ma Vie in Tysons! We visited yesterday and absolutely loved it! Everything was delicious, especially the chicken soup — it was amazing! They also have a wonderful selection of bakery items, perfect to enjoy with a good coffee. And the service was incredible — everyone was so kind, welcoming, and attentive. Definitely a place to come back to! Highly recommended!

I have driven by De Ma Vie countless times since the sign first went up, and ever since they opened, I’ve been meaning to stop in. Today, I somehow found myself with a few extra minutes AND wasn’t running late to anything, so clearly, it was finally time. I stopped in just to see what kinds of pastries and baked goods they had and ended up having such a lovely and unexpected experience. I was helped by the father of the woman who runs the bakery (at least I believe that’s the family connection!). He patiently told me about the different pastries and treats, and as we talked, I learned that he was simply there helping out. Oh, and he also happens to be a trained orthopedic surgeon and researcher. Because apparently that’s who you casually meet while deciding which pastry you need. He was warm, kind, and interesting, and the whole interaction just felt authentic. Those kinds of experiences seem increasingly rare, and I really appreciated it. I’ve already enjoyed the rice pudding, which he topped with honey and pistachios because, as he explained, his daughter says you should always have it that way. His daughter is correct. It was great. I came home with several other things to try, all of which look fantastic. The pumpkin cheesecake is currently staring me down and will probably not survive the evening. I’ll definitely be back soon. I still need to try the soups he told me about, and hopefully next time I’ll get to meet his daughter too. Such a warm, charming first visit. I’m very glad I finally stopped in.

The croissant was SO good! Extremely flaky, fresh and difficult to not eat super fast. The soup was very good and I highly recommend it. Obviously not canned and the chicken was very good in it. It was a good portion and filling. The furniture and decor is not fancy, but I’m sure it will come along in time. Also it’s very clean. It’s right across the street from the Westin so there’s no excuse to not have a great breakfast here. Plenty of parking too.
